The process of having a parade has begun! Some of the 2016 year sponsors; AZ Veteran services $4,999.00 SRP $2,000 and others have responded with checks. We have some exciting things in the works that will help the parade organization.

The most eventful item is we have moved our phone system to a new online  phone app called grasshopper. It is easy to use, very comprehensive and we look very professional. Each member of the association has a direct extension and we can add about 70 additional extensions. Kevin Christopher, our parade announcer, is using his announcer’s voice to record our greeting messages. Each of us can also record individual greetings for our own extensions. I hope to have this completed by September 1st.  Best of all it is the same price as Vonage was with 10 times the support.

Our parade maps are being drawn by an Architect as a donation. This will also make the web look better.

Our experiment with the Mesa Chamber has netted good results. We will be featured on Mesa Morning Live at the Cresent Crown Distributors September 9th. I am asking everyone that can come to please let me know by August 20th so we can pre-register each of you. This event puts us on the City TV 7 for the entire month of September, and exposure to over 200 business representatives. I think this is a great return.

Erin is attending the Mesa Morning Live events and putting the pictures on Facebook & Twitter giving us even greater exposure. Our Facebook views have jumped over 1000% since she started last year, Great job Erin.

Melissa has us being recognized in AJ and Queen Creek. These are areas we have had no support. They are now ready to be part of the Parade with sponsorship potential.  We now have the potential of Chandler being in the parade this year also.

We now have the 1st National Guard representative Marshall. Thank you Liz for volunteering. In addition, we have Wayne Pomroy, The Candy Bomber ( providing their health holds out) and Navy Captain Steve Borden (ret). We still need representatives for Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Merchant Marine. If you have a potential candidate please email Jhennicea Morrow [email protected] with the information.

Our support from everyone has been phenomenal. If i haven’t mentioned someone I should have I apologize.

Sylvia has secured an important element of the parade – Port-o-pots. Great job Syl.

Not bad for a month that we are dark (no meetings).
