Membership Agreement

This agreement is among the members of East Valley Veterans Parade Association Inc., (“EVVPA”) and this applicant. By accepting and agreeing to this Membership Agreement, pursuant to ARS § 10-3732, you agree to be bound by the simple rules set forth below:

Membership in EVVPA is non-transferable.

Membership begins with an Associate Membership, as defined in the Bylaws, which membership begins with acceptance by the Membership Committee.

a. Associate Members have no voting rights under the Bylaws; and

b. Associate Membership term is at least the duration of their first parade year; and

c. Associate Members are required to serve on at least one Committee or otherwise contribute substantial effort toward the goals of EVVPA; and

d. Associate Members are required to attend at least a majority of General meetings.

If an Associate Member desires to advance to a General Member, the terms above must be met for at least one year, and a request in writing made to the Membership Committee.

General Members are accepted by the Membership Committee and approved by the Membership.

General Members are voting Members, able to nominate Officers and Trustees and vote on any business that comes before the General meeting.

Members must be present in order to vote. No proxy or absentee ballots are provided.

Members must keep the Corporation updated as to contact information for purposes of maintaining Membership Roles.

All other terms and conditions are as stated in the Bylaws, a copy of which is available upon request.

 This Application, as acceptance of the Membership Agreement, will be presented to the Membership Committee. Membership in EVVPA may be granted upon recommendation by the Membership Committee to the Board at a regular meeting.  Membership begins when accepted by EVVPA.

    Explain Areas of interest/expertise/ previous parade experience and what you would like to do as a member of the EVVPA.
    e.g. Lead (Leadership, Take charge, Self-directed), Manage, Supervise, Organize, Support (Setup, Staging, De-Staging, Parade tasks-banners, pacing. etc.), Assist with the Volunteer Organization/Development; Recruit new members.

    This application, as acceptance (check here) of the attached membership Agreement, will be presented to the Membership committee. Membership in the EVVPA may be granted upon recommendation by the Membership committee to the Board at a regular meeting. Membership begins when accepted by the EVVPA.

    The East Valley Veterans Parade Association, an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been commissioned in Arizona for the purpose of producing a Veterans Parade. The association acquires sponsorships, raises funds and produces the Parade. Donations to East Valley Veterans Parade Association are tax‐deductible.
