I returned to the US in 1968 from Vietnam. The homecoming I received was wet trash and spit along with foul language. When I was invited to march in this parade I did. I finally after over 40 years feel I am welcome in my home country. –Thank you
Thank you. Just watching the crowd and hearing their enthusiasm was great. It is so important to pause and reflect on how very fortunate we are to live in this country and enjoy our hard-won freedoms. Your efforts help do this.
Our group is the Brownies Girl Scouts Troop 2238, located in Gilbert, Ariz. Our troop supports veterans, active military and their families because each Girl Scout has either a parent, relative, and/or older sibling who’s either a veteran or active duty service member who’s currently serving in the military. We are all very proud of our nation’s service members who have defended our beloved United States of America. Our Troop held a banner with their loved ones’ photo as we march down the street. Thank you!
